William J. Campbell

William J. Campbell, 84, of Venice, FL, formerly of Medina, OH, died on March 2, 2010. William was a loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who leaves behind wonderful memories of special times spent together. Survivors include his loving wife, Jennie, of 61 years; two sons, Craig (Alice) of Barnstable, MA and James (Deborah) of Worthington, OH and daughter Faith (William) Allen of Venice; and 9 grandchildren; Jennifer, David, Sarah, Brad, Jennie, Andrew,Kristen, Jillian, and Will;brothers James Campbell of Gurnee, IL, and Edward Campbell of Navarre, FL; and sisters Kay Crute of Berkley, MI, and Gale McHale of Frazer, MI. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Janene and his sister Marylou Runevitch. Campbell was recognized as a leader in the Mica Industry and had been involved in the manufacturing and selling of these products for over 40 years. In 1969, Midwest Mica and Insulation was incorporated and Campbell became General Manager and Division President, serving in this capacity until his retirement in 1990. He was a 32nd degree mason, a member of the Sahib Temple AAONMS in Sarasota, Venice Shrine Club, and the Masonic Blue Lodge 728 in Strongsville, OH. He served in the military during WWII and was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Campbell was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Strongsville, Ohio. William had many accomplishments in his lifetime, but none brought more pride to him than his loving and devoted family.
