William "Bill" L. Connelly
July 28th, 1958 - July 28th, 2015
Age 57 of Apple Valley. Born July 28, 1958. Died unexpectedly on July 28, 2015. Survived by three sons, Mychael, Adam, Scott, and their mother, Sue Schnell; significant other, Kathy Schatz, and her family, Kacey (Joe) DeMarco, Emily Schatz, and Derek Schatz; Kathy’s grandsons, Justice and Bennett DeMarco; siblings, Cathy (David) Callaway, Debbie (Bert) Lindsey, Laurie Ostertag, Michelle Connelly, Christine (Angel) Martin, Eve Connelly, Megan Connelly, Fred Larson, and Annie Peterson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by parents William John and Mary Ellen Connelly. Bill was a loving, hardworking, dedicated, loyal man. He was not only an excellent father but also an amazing role model for his sons. Bill spent over thirty-five years working at the Ford plant in St. Paul where they primarily built the Ford Ranger. During that time, some of the fondest memories of Bill were of him on the sidelines of his sons' sporting events teaching and coaching the boys in every sport they played. He considered every member of those teams to be family and spoke fondly of everyone. After he retired from Ford, he spent his time working for A.S.I.A Security. He worked nearly every home Wild game in his time there and as many concerts as they would let him take on. He also enjoyed his work in Premium Services for the Minnesota Twins. Bill knew everyone, and everyone he met considered him a friend. You could not go with Bill into any venue in Minnesota without running into someone that knew or recognized him. He had a lot of awesome stories to tell and died while doing one of the things he loved. Bill will be forever loved and forever missed. Visitation 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday August 2nd at Mary, Mother of the Church 3333 Cliff Rd., Burnsville and 1 hour prior to the mass on Monday. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Burnsville.
