William F. Fitzpatrick III, ""Fitzie"", passed on January 24, 2019 after a brief illness. He was born on August 22, 1949 in Albany, New York to William J. Fitzpatrick, Jr. and Catherine Ann Malek Fitzpatrick. Fitzie was educated at Christian Brothers Academy and SUNY at Geneseo. He retired from Verizon in 2002 and relocated to Venice, FL in 2015. Fitzie married the love of his life, Mary Kimberly Tanney Fitzpatrick on October 6, 1978. On July 27, 1982, they were blessed by the birth of their son, William J. Fitzpatrick IV. Family was everything to Fitzie. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed his summers on Burden Lake, New York. His favorite pastime, however, was growing beautiful flowers. Mostly, Fitzie was an ardent New York Giants fan. In addition to his wife, Kim, and son and daughter in law, Billy and Briar, Fitzie is survived by his sister, C. Sharon and Richard Amadon, nephews; Richard and Kelly, and Michael and Tao Amadon; sisters and brothers in law, Michele and Edward Delehanty; nephews Bryan and Tash Delehanty, Craig and Cori Delehanty, Terry and Diann Tanney, Beth Musella and Phil Occhino, nephew David Musella, niece Katie and Shawn DiGiovanni as well as several great nieces and nephews. A private service was held in Venice, FL with family.
