William "Bill" Henry Ford

William Henry Ford, Jr, 74, of The Villages, FL passed away at home on August 20, 2019. He was born July 17, 1945 in Memphis, TN to the late William Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Miles) Ford. Bill joined the Navy in Aug 1962 and served until Aug 1970. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. After leaving the Navy, Bill went into Civil Service working in Naval Security and The National Library of Medicine. His next venture was to be an Entrepreneur in the new world of Computer Technology which led to the birth of Online Computer Systems Inc. After retiring from Online he still was very active in Computer Technology, spawning several other corporations. Bill loved his family very much and he loved to travel around the world. Bill leaves behind his Life – Partner, Jetta Russell of The Villages, FL; son Glenn M. Ford (Kelly) of Jacksonville, FL; 2 granddaughters Meaghan and Paige; 2 brothers Thomas R. Ford (Stephanie) of Orange Grove, TX and Lawrence A. Ford (deceased); sister Katherine Ford McLain – Kopplin of Austin, TX; Aunt Geneva Phillips of Memphis, TN; neices, nephews and many friends. A military honors memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday, September 14 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL. www.hiers-baxley.com welcomes your memories of Bill.
