William Freeman
October 15th, 0923 - September 1st, 2013
William Thomas Freeman, (affectionately known as Son or Uncle Son to all who knew him), of Colorado Springs, Colorado, age 89 was born in Charleston, West Virginia to Gertrude Mae (Minor) and William Franklin Freeman. He was a decorated and honored veteran who served in the US Army and Air Force in World War II, Indochina and the Korean Wars. William was preceded in death by his parents, wife Hideko (Yamashita) Freeman, sisters Lucy Burns, Dorothy Marrs, Sarah Johnson and Carolyn Hyrams; daughter Frances McIntyre and grandson Keith Freeman. William is survived by his son William Hideo Freeman (Carol) and daughter Tomie Freeman. Six grandchildren, Felicia Jones, Lori Butler, Tara Young, Brigette Freeman, Journey Gordon and Kaci Smith, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Disabled American Veterans. Military honors will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging area A at 1pm on Monday, October 21, 2013. Enter at North Gate 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd. Denver, CO 80235 at least 15 minutes early. Wait to be escorted. Reception will follow at Rock Bottom Restaurant (Park Meadows) 9627 E County Line Rd. Centennial, CO 80112 from 2 – 4 pm
