William Stuart Greer
December 25th, 1946 - September 26th, 2017
William Stuart Greer, 70, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on September 26, 2017. He was born on December 25, 1946, in Whiteville, North Carolina, to William and Irene Stuart Greer. William proudly served in the United States Army for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. William is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Barbara Mizzell Greer of Columbia; daughters, Laura (James) McHenry of Arlington, VA, and Leigh Ann (Kenneth) Vogel of New Smyrna Beach, FL; as well as his granddaughters; his brother, James Greer; and sisters, Jacquelyn (Greer) Sherrod and Lucille (Greer) Page. William and Barbara were members of Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church and of the Bauknight Sunday School class. A graveside funeral will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017, at 10 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church in Columbia, South Carolina 29209.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families.
