Funeral services for William R. Heustess, 70, will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Congaree Baptist Church 101 Pine Ridge Drive West Columbia SC 29172; Reverend David Mullins will be officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-3pm at the church. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of handling the arrangements. Mr. Heustess passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012. Born on August 6, 1942, he served his country in the National Guard for 26 years and retired from Allied Chemical as a forklift operator. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his loving wife, Irene Heustess; daughters, Sherry Heustess Smith of Lexington, Rhonda Estock (Joe) of Hopkins, Connie Gause (Chris) of Columbia; son, Marty Heustess of Irmo; stepchildren, Annette Penny (Charles) of Irmo, Janice Pelfrey (Gary) of Pelion, Karen Rhodus (Marty) of West Columbia; brother, George Linden of Tennessee; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
