WILLIAM (BILL) A. KILPATRICK LOVED BY ALL William (Bill) Kilpatrick, 76, was born November 29, 1933 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Jesse Elais and Clara Belle Kilpatrick. He had two sisters, Corliss and Elaine and a brother Allen. Bill grew up in Lubbock, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech. He joined the Army after graduating and was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. He was a pilot of fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. He was involved in various successful businesses throughout his life. He met his wife, Marita Firestone, in Denver and they were married in 1963 and spent 46 wonderful years together. They raised two beautiful children, Megan and Tyson. Bill passed away on December 28, 2009 and is survived by his wife, Marita Kilpatrick, daughter, Megan Mitcham, son Tyson Kilpatrick, son-in-law Scott Mitcham, grand-daughter, Paige Mitcham, nephews, nieces, and other family members by marriage. A celebration of his life will be held at Pinehurst Country Club, 6255 W. Quincy Avenue, Denver, CO 80235, immediately following the service at Fort Logan National Cemetery located at 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue, Denver, CO 80236 in Staging Area C at 10:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make your contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or the Denver Hospice.
