William Edward Sweeney, 62, died July 22, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born November 5, 1958 to William Arthur and Ira Mae (Smith) Sweeney in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States military, serving with both the Marine Corps and Air Force. He worked as a shipyard diesel mechanic for most of his life.He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carol Coker.Bill is survived by his son, Benjamin William Sweeney; daughter, Brittany Hampton; three grandchildren; sisters, Lisa (Carl) Nisely and Teresa Malicoat; brothers, Charles (Wanda) Sweeney and Robert Dornath; and girlfriend, Cathie Bryant.
