William E. Tyson, age 95, of North Port, FL died on July 13, 2016. He was born in Cambridge, Ohio on July 9, 1921. Bill was a part time resident of Florida since 1990, and in 2005, he relocated permanently from Canton, OH. Bill was a US Army veteran. He served during WWII and fought at the Battle of the Bulge. Surviving family members include his son, William C. Tyson (Rita) of North Port; granddaughters Michelle Hirsch of North Bend, WA and Melissa Collard (Richard of North Port, FL; great grandchildren Aspen and Cierra who reside in Washington Sate; and sister Maxine Furney living with Cheryl and Jerry Bruni in Kentucky. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Betty. Memorial donations may be directed to TideWell Hospice of the Sarasota Humane Society. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church on Friday, July 22nd at 10 AM. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery at 2 PM.
