William Edward Welsh “Bill”
Born December 8, 1942 in Erie, PA. was called home March 9, 2024 in Aurora, CO
Mr. Bill, or Wild Man, as he was affectionately known, served with the Air Force from 1962-1966. He was a gunner and a photographer and trained at Lowry AFB, which began his lifelong love of Colorado. After his discharge he returned to Pennsylvania and attended the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969. He returned to Colorado shortly thereafter. Bill wore many hats. He owned an Import/Export business, where he lived in Paris for six months and sold American goods, then returned to Denver for six months and sold French goods. He was the owner of the Idea Factory, in which he assisted clients with their inventions. He was the owner of Textile Concepts and was an expert textile consultant, who was regularly called to court to consult on criminal cases. He has a trademark for the Debree Family, which he crated to teach kids how to recycle. He has assisted in building homes in California and Oregon. He was an Ace Helpful Hardware Man. And he drove vehicles at the Denver Auto Auction.
Bill enjoyed listening to music of many genres. He liked reading and had a variety of interests. He was very much into fashion, jewelry and photography. He loved watching the Broncos with his buddies; he loved the ladies and was quite a charmer.
Bill is survived by his brother, Gordon Patrick; his nephew, Patrick Scott Welsh and niece, Lisa A. O’Conner. He is also survived by many friends that he considered family and felt the same way about him.
Rest in peace brother.
