William Wesley Whitehead, Sr., 75, of Auburndale, FL passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at his residence. Born September 18, 1943 in Seaboard, NC, he moved to Auburndale 33 years ago from North Carolina. He was a truck driver and worked for Willie Shaw and Commercial Carrier be fore retirement. He is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Minnie; four sons, William Wesley Whitehead, Jr. and his wife Melissa of Auburndale, Jessie Paul Whitehead of Auburndale, Tony Wayne Whitehead and his wife Brittany of Babson Park, FL, and Philip Patrick Whitehead of Winter Haven; a daughter, Gloria Jean Whitehead of Greenville, NC; a brother, Charles Whitehead of Seaboard, NC; two sisters, Johnnie Thompson and Ruth Whitby both of Emporia, VA; and eight grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm till 2:00pm, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
