William Howard Windsor

Bill is my cousin. I speak of him in the present tense as he remains present in my memory. We're the same age and grew up in different Texas towns getting together often during the summers. During one of those summers our Aunt Lora invited Bill, Martha and me to spend a few weeks with her at her home in Ruidoso, NM. We were almost teens at the time and full of mischief. Martha had a date coming one evening and had spent the afternoon getting ready, fixing her hair etc. Bill and I thought it would be humorous to rig a bucket of water above a door that Martha had to walk through prior to her date. It worked perfectly and Martha got drenched; she was justifiably furious. Martha remembers that prank to this day and has never let us forget it.
