January 7th, 1947 - April 5th, 2011
William B. Wise WEST COLUMBIA - Funeral services for William B. Wise, 64, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, officiated by Dr. Tommy Pillow. Interment will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Lucas III, Brett Parker, David Cannon, Julius Kitt, Terry Smith and Matt Sturkie. Mr. Wise died April 5, 2011. Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Vernelle Jumper Cannon (Lindy) and the late William Davis Wise. Mr. Wise was a 1965 graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School and later received an Associate Degree in Tool and Die from Midlands Technical College. He was a former employee of Seagram Distillers Company and for the past 16 years was an employee of LabCorp. Surviving are his daughter, Tonya Wise of Blythewood; his sisters, Linda Parker (Jack) of Chapin, Sandra Hunter (Mark) of Chapin, and Tammy Lucas (John) of West Columbia; also nieces and nephews, Brett Parker (Tammy), Jason Hunter, Jill Hunter, John Lucas III, and Kristin Lucas; as well as his great-niece, Brooke Parker, and great-nephew, Zack Parker.
