Winfield "Win" Meyer
April 13th, 1935 - November 30th, 2021
Winfield “Win” Meyer, 86, of Winter Haven, FL passed away on November 30, 2021 at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born on April 13, 1935 in Bartlow, OH to Edwin and Alta Rabe Meyer. He proudly served his country from May 4, 1954 to May 3, 1956 in the United States Army. Winfield moved to Florida from his hometown in Ohio many years ago and he worked in the construction industry his entire adult life. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Winter Haven, FL and a member of the American Legion (Post 8) for 26 years. Winfield truly enjoyed woodworking and building things, golfing, and bowling. He would work on any project for his beloved family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Alta; wife, June V. Meyer; sisters, Glennadene and husband, Paul Burner and Phyllis Damman; and grandson, Aynsley Meyer. Winfield is survived by his son, Allan Meyer and wife, Anna of Stanwood, WA; brother, Edward Meyer and wife, Jill of Colorado Springs, CO; brother-in-law, John Dammon of Napoleon, OH; granddaughter, Alyssa Miller and husband, Nathaniel of Hayden, ID; great grandson, Deckard Miller of Hayden, ID; stepdaughters, Sara Emmett and husband, Keith of Lake Wales, FL and Dana Miller and husband, Tom of Winter Haven, FL; and stepson, Rod Hutchison of Melbourne, FL. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery with Reverend Charles R. Reich officiating.
