Lois Jean Blalock

Lois Jean Blalock, 77, of Duffield, passed away, Sunday July 19th ,2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born February 18th, 1938 in Salamanaca, New York to Arthur and Maxine Hill. Lois loved flowers, she was a designer in a florist shop in Lakeworth, Florida. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Claude Blalock, her little dog, Chumlee; four children, Jeanne Schulz and husband Dale, Ronnie McLaughlin and wife Pat, Joyce Terhune and Lorraine Blalock; nine grandchildren, Caitlin McLaughlin, Lydia Mitchell and husband Jason, Patty Crippin, Jessica Schulz, Tony Schulz, Ryan Blalock, Alyssa Wetherby, Joey Terhune and Joshua Terhune; four great grandchildren, Samantha Cravens, David Cravens, Larney Crippin and James Mitchelle; three sisters, Maryann Reed and husband Joe, Helen Shanabager and husband Marvin and Charleen Jackson; also lots of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews who were very much loved by her. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Wellmont Holston Valley Hosptial in Kingsport for the excellent care they gave to Mrs. Blalock.
