Hubert Joe Lambert

Hubert Joe Lambert 81, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Indian Path Medical Center with his loving wife by his side. Hubert served in the U.S. Air Force as Staff Sergeant for 19 years. He also retired from Sears as a mechanic. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Melissa Lambert; daughter, Denise Woodworth; sister, Polly Farmer and husband, NC Farmer; first wife, Verna Louise Lambert. Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy Lambert; son; David Lambert and wife Fran; daughter, Mary Hellmer and husband Josh; step-son, Robert Krug and fiancé Vicky; step-daughters, Christy Krug and fiancé Brandon, Cheri Hackler and husband Mike; grandchildren, Stephanie, Kimberly, Kayla, TJ, Dale, Lauren, Robbie, Cody, Mikey, Steven, Prisila, and Mia; great-grandchild, Brayden along with an expected great-grandson, Maxwell; his "boys" Pookie and Rocket in addition to many loving friends. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Charity Chapel, 217 Stage Road, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Mike Owens and Evangelist George Lane officiating. Music will be provided by Blood Bought. A military graveside will be conducted 3 pm Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Gunnings Cemetery with Hammond Post #3/265 officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50 pm. The family will also receive friends anytime at Christy's home. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, is serving the Lambert family.
