Timothy Nelson McCoy

Timothy Nelson McCoy, age 57, of Blountville, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015, surrounded by the love of family and friends. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Kingsport. Tim was active throughout his life coaching youth sports and was passionate about improving the safety of the Indian Springs community. He recently began training and showing his Chesapeake Bay Retriever. He was preceded in death by his son, Nelson McCoy. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Donna; son, Vincent; daughter, Cecilia; devoted aunt, Linda Allen; uncle, Lonus (Tom) Allen; aunt, Nelle Todd; sisters, Kathy Nash and Stephanie McCoy; brother-in-law, John DeMauro; and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 pm with Father Michael Cummins officiating. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Kingsport with Father Michael Cummins celebrating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Tim's honor. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the McCoy family
