April 8th, 1948 - June 26th, 2015
Gate City, VA - Anna Faye Elam, 67 of Gate City, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Grace Healthcare of Abingdon following a lengthy illness. She had lived in Scott County for most of her adult life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Elam; her parents, Claude and Lilly Hartsock; sister, Ella Ruth Kegley; brothers, James Hartsock, Glenn "Cotton" Hartsock and Ronnie Hartsock. Anna is survived by her brothers, Harold Hartsock and wife Alice of Big Stone Gap, VA and Wayne Hartsock of Cedar Bluff, VA; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Guy Elam officiating. Music will be provided by Robin and Ryan Stapleton. Burial will follow in Grassy Creek Cemetery in Russell County, VA with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City is serving the Elam family.
