Edna Morgan Watterson
May 4th, 1929 - December 26th, 2017
Kingsport - Edna Morgan Watterson ,88, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday night December 26, 2017 at Asbury Place following a brief illness. She was born in Hyden, KY and had resided in Kingsport for the past 56 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who loved to spend time with her family and friends. She especially loved to cook. She was known to many as being their "second mom". She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Billy (Pud) Watterson; grandson, Ryan Carter; parents, Hugh and Orlena Morgan; brothers, Roy Morgan, Paul Morgan, Cecil Morgan, Floyd Morgan, and Harrison Morgan; sister, Nora Creech. She is survived by her daughters, Vanessa Skeen and husband, Eddie, Donna Carter and husband Tom; granddaughter, Wendy Witenbarger and husband Jeff; grandson, Nathan Carter and wife Ruxandra; great granddaughters, Madelyn Witenbarger and Avery Witenbarger; great grandson, Seth Witenbarger; sisters, Helen Shoopman and husband Buddy and Mary Rose Abner; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special caregivers, Ann Christian, Pat Christian, Jill Carter, Phoebe Tittle, Marcella Roberts; special friends, Steve "Pud" Livesay, Johnny Livesay, Ronnie Robinette, J.T. Robinette, and Darby Robinette. A celebration of life will be held at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport in the chapel at 3 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Music will be provided by Todd Potter. A gathering of friends will take place in the ShareLife Room following the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Frazier, Doris Frazier, Steve Livesay, Johnny Livesay, J.T. Robinette and Darby Robinette. Memorials may be made to the St. Judes Children Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Ryan Carter.
