Bobby Gene Ramey

Bobby Gene Ramey, age 76, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully with his loving wife of 55 years by his side, holding his hand on Friday morning June 5, 2015. Bobby was a member of Calvary Worship Center, on Lucy Rd. in Kingsport, pastored by Rev. Larry Bledsoe. He retired from Nissan Corp. as District Service Manager. He loved traveling, Nascar Racing, animals and his special dog, Snuggles. He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Ramey; mother, Etha Hobbs Ramey; and brother, Howard Ramey. Bobby is survived by his wife, Evelyn Mowdy Ramey, Kingsport; one sister, Phyllis Ramey Chase, Elizabethton; special niece, Hollie Chase Verran and husband, Tommy; special great nephews, Matthew and Ethan Verran; special niece, Patricia Coffey and husband, Blane; special great nephews, Jonathan and Jason Coffey; special sister-in-law, Nannie Mowdy; several cousins and extended family members. The family would like to thank Wexford House and Indian Path Medical Center 5th floor nurses and doctors, and especially Andrea Buchanan and Dr. DeStefano for their care and support. In accordance to his wishes the family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport.
