John "JD" Marshall

John " JD" Marshall , 86 , of Kingsport , Tennessee passed away May 30, 2015 at Wellmont Hospice House Bristol , Tennessee . He was born on August 27, 1928 in Knox Co, Tennessee to the late Ralph Marshall and Pearl Brogden . In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his loving wife of 66 years Bonnie L. Marshall; daughters, Deborah Burchett and Angela Marshall. John is survived by: his daughter Janet Batts and Husband Robert; grandchildren, Ryan Heath Burchett, Sean Adam Burchett, Chase Everett Manning, Amanda Dianne Holden; 5 great grandchildren; brother Charles Marshall and wife Lavern ; along with several nieces. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 6PM on June 2, 2015 at First Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Weikel officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church parlor. A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Jack Edwards at 1PM Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Sherwood Cemetery in Alcoa, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are members of the pairs and spares Sunday school class. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30AM to go in procession to the cemetery.
