Paul Howard Hughes, 70, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, (February 20, 2015) at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was retired in 1997 as a Team Manager after 33 years with Tennessee Eastman in the Packing Department FTI. Paul enjoyed photography, bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting and was a Life Member of the NRA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Allen and Louie Beatrice (Pennington) Hughes. Survivors include his children, Wendi (Hughes) Benson of Virginia Beach, VA, Nathan Hughes of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a grandson, Joseph Benson; and two sisters, Vivian Rector of Kingsport and Dot (Ron) Porter of Blountville; along with several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 5 - 7 pm on Wednesday (February 25, 2015) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A funeral service will be in the chapel at 7 pm with Rev. David Salley, officiating. An entombment committal service will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at East Lawn Memorial Park, Kingsport. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is honored to serve the Hughes family.
