Jack Dykes

JACK DYKES Church Hill- Jack Dykes, 58, of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord early Thursday morning (December 14, 2017) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Church Hill. Jack was an avid farmer who loved to hunt and fish. He especially loved his animals. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Addilyn Dykes; parents, Quentin and Allarea Christian Dykes. Jack Dykes is survived by his son, Dillon Dykes; his step-son, Matt Hicks; his girlfriend of 15 years, Bunny French; brothers, Reed Dykes and Jim Dykes; his beloved golden doodle, "Marvin" along with several nieces, nephews, friends, and dear neighbors. A visitation will be held on Sunday (December 17, 2017) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill or friends may also call anytime at his residence. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday (December 17, 2017) at 6 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday (December 18, 2017) at 2 p.m. at Church Hill Memory Gardens with Pastor Teddy Webb officiating. Pallbearers will be his brothers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is serving the Dykes family.
