Jean Rhoton

Jean Rhoton Kingsport - Helen Jean Rhoton, of Kingsport, our precious wife and mother, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Jean was known for her giving and loving heart. She found joy in her children and grand-children. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtle Carter; two brothers Cecil and Sam Carter. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Orville Rhoton, who loved her dearly; two daughters, Sue Cook and husband George, and Gail Roller and husband Earl; son, Bill Stone and wife Donna; special granddaughter, Amber Carter (Matt); grandchildren, Brent Jenning (Melissa), Ryan Roller (Sarah) and Mia Patrick (Franklin); three great grandchildren, Haley Jenning, Sydney Carter and Ryker Roller; step-sons, Butch and Skip Rhoton; five special sisters, Lena Beasley, Mary Snapp, Betty Neeley, Reba Robinson and Diana Franklin; brothers, Jack Carter and Edgar Carter. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Monday January 19, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tony Bleckley officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday January 20, 2015 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 to go in procession. Pallbearers will be Brent Jennings, Ryan Roller, matt Carter, Greg Ware, Dennis Neeley and Dillion Price. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Jean Rhoton family.
