Ellen Ramos

“Pat” Ramos age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Lifecare Center of Westminster. She passed peacefully with all her kids by her side. Pat was born on May 22, 1928 to John and Margaret (Doyle) Eide in East Boston. Pat was the youngest of (5) children. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jack and George and Sister Rosemary. She is survived by her sister Theresa and brother in-law Wally Brennan, along with her (6) children and their spouses: Mike (Janice) Ramos, Terri (Steve) Hale, David (Dana) Ramos, Cathy Ramos, Joe (Debbie) Ramos, and Mark (Heidi) Ramos; and 11 grandchildren, Anthony, Benjamin, Dominic, Nathan, Jeni, Joseph, Jamie, Jessie, Emily, Zach, Jeremy; and (1) great grandchild, Emma. Pat’s family moved to Roxbury, MA when she was 12 years old. She always enjoyed music and the Arts. She participated in many choirs in her childhood and adult life. Pat met Rudy Ramos and they were married on May 15, 1954. They traveled cross country for their honeymoon taking in many of the sights. They ended up in Denver, and loved it so much they decided to stay. Pat worked at Samsonite for over 20 years. After retiring she continued her true life passion of being a caregiver. For a time she was very busy taking care of many of her grandchildren while their parents worked. She spent the later years again babysitting for friends and working as a home caregiver for the elderly. In the words of her kids “Mom is the best person we have ever known. Her love and guidance shaped all of us and she touched everyone she came in contact with.” Her legacy lives on and she will be lovingly missed and honored through her children and for generations to come. A memorial service will be held on February 20, 2014, at 6:00 pm, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham St. Thornton, Co. 80229.
