Billy Riley
January 14th, 1935 - April 16th, 2012
Billy J. Riley, 77, of Westminster, dies peacefully April 16 after a short illness. Born in Metropolis, Illinois, grew up in Chicago, served in the Korean war. He was a self-taught, owned and successfully and honestly operated several businesses for over 45 years, including Colorado Sewing Center which he operated until the time of his final illness. His great passion was flying, owned and maintained several planes, was a Major in the Civil Air Patrol; however he always felt his mission in life was to protect and care for his family, including pets. Though not active in a church, he was deeply religious, and was generous in helping others, even strangers in need. He is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Alyce, sons William and Keith, daughters Karen (Steve), and Donna (Dan), grandchildren Jordan, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Amanda. Private services were held.
