Clayton Roloson
Clayton Lyman Roloson passed away at age 93 on Dec. 3, 2011, at the Holly Creek Retirement Community. He was born Oct. 16, 1918 in Trenton, NJ. He is survived by sons Wade Lyman Roloson of Lakewood, CO. and Keith Ecker Roloson of Cumming, GA. Memorial Service is Wed., Dec. 14, 2011, at 2PM at Holly Creek Retirement Community, 5500 E. Peakview Ave., Centennial, CO. 80121. Telephone 303-713-9004 Clayton graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Geology. He married Beverley Robinson Ecker of Hammondsport, NY before going overseas in World War II. Clayton enlisted into the U.S.Army and in 1944 was transferred into the Counter Intelligence Corp (CIC). At the end of WWII he was assigned as Special Agent in Charge (SAIC) of Stuttgart, Germany in the American Sector, where he, as a Lieutenant, coordinated allied operations in that city to shutdown black market activities and suppressed sabotage by Nazi collaborators. After the war he sent for Beverley and while in Stuttgart, son Wade L. Roloson was born August 11, 1946. After discharge from Army he returned to USA and was hired by Carter Oil Co. as a land geologist in Oklahoma. While in Tulsa, OK son Keith E. Roloson was born on July 20, 1949. In the early 1950s the family was transferred to Liberal, KS. In 1959 the Clayton Roloson family was transferred to Denver, CO. then in 1962 to Billings, MT, and returned to Wheat Ridge, CO in 1965 to what became Humble Oil, and then Exxon. Wife Beverley E. Roloson passed away in 1976. He remarried Donna Wagner Goff and gained an additional family, son Buzz & Sheri Goff and daughter Dianne Thompson. Grandchildren from both extended families followed, then great-grandchildren. Clayton and Donna retired in Denver, but later retired to Green Valley, AZ where they remained until returning to Denver in November 2007. Wife Donna Wagner Goff Roloson passed away May 12, 2010, also at Holly Creek. Memorial gifts may be made in memory of Clayton L. Roloson to Holly Creek Stewardship Fund, 5500 E.
