April 28th, 1930 - November 10th, 2023
Jill Uzell passed away peacefully on November 10th and was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Uzell (nee Dunckel). She was a wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jill was a devoted elementary school teacher for 43 years. Those around her were showered with her endless thoughtfulness; she was a generous soul to family members, veterans, her local food pantry, and many others in need. She traveled the world extensively with her husband and belonged to several organizations including Eastern Star, DAR, Shiner’s Oriental Dance Group, and the Venice Women’s Club. She also devoted over 25 years as a volunteer at Venice Hospital. Jill loved to garden in her backyard, play daily Sudoku puzzles, and faithfully watch her game shows in the evening. She especially loved the “Buy one, get one free” at Publix. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her memory. The family will receive friends at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Friday, November 17th, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
