Thomas William Pickrell, born October 2nd 1941, passed away in the adult group home where he lived in SE Portland, on September 24th 2021 at the age of 79. He is survived by his three sisters Myrna, Roberta and Julie, his brother Wendell, and by his Oregon family, Camra and Rigo Moreno, Carol Basey, Richard Basey, and his daughter Melissa Basey who all loved him very much. Tom was a free spirit who enjoyed playing pool, spending time with friends at his favorite tavern,The Checkered Flag, and watching football. Tom remained passionately dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys, through victories and defeats. During much of the 80’s and 90’s Tom would spend time both with his family in Oregon and with his sisters in California. In Oregon, he was instrumental in helping to raise and care for Camra, Richard and Melissa. He always kept the house clean and cooked meals for everyone. He loved to visit the Multnomah Kennel Club and bet on the dogs. Throughout his life his three main loves stayed the same: The Dallas Cowboys, Budweiser beer, and his family. He was the life of the party and will be sorely missed.
