It is with profound sadness and broken hearts, we announce that our beloved, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother, Robert Brandon Turner, Jr, was called to his eternal home in Heaven on May 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at his home.
Bob. as known by all who loved him, was born in Evansville, Indiana, on December 14, 1943; to his parents, Robert Brandon Turner, Sr and Alta Laverne Bennett; he was the first of three children in the family.
Bob received is education in Evansville, he graduated from Mater Dei, and Evansville College. Bob worked in several fields; he was a Mechanic at the Yellow Cab company from 1964-1968. Specialized in his service to his community in the Denver Police Department, served as a, and now retired, Denver Police Detective for over 30 years, from December 16, 1968 -December 16, 1998. He also was a firearms instructor.
Bob loved the outdoors, he enjoyed shooting, fishing, hunting and reloading with friends. He liked supporting local restaurants and that served his favorite food. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends.
The Turner family are extremely grateful for all the family, friends and the medical team whom have been very helpful throughout the years.
Those who he is preceded in death are, (First Spouse) Judith Gerling Turner; (Second Spouse) Penny Turner; Son Timothy W, Turner; Parents Robert Brandon Turner, Sr, Robert Bennett, Alta Laverne Bennett; Grandparents, Russell & Dorothy Leonard, Zulema Carter and John Turner; Aunts/Uncles, Thomas Walker Turner; Jerry & Peggy Wilson; Nieces/Nephews, Russel Wilson, Jr and Virginia Wilson.
Those who Bob is survived by, and will cherish his loving memory are, his Spouse Emma Ruth Casulang Turner; Sons Rob Turner, III and Mike Turner; Daughters, Mendy Kempter (Kevin) and Cindy Sanchez (Brian); Sisters, Mary Schoettlin (Ron) and Jo Anne Elliot (Terry); Grandchildren, Michael (Malerie), Dylan, Abigail, Ryan (Hanna), Savanna, Bobby, Austin, Lyndsey, Nathan and Dustin; Great Grandchildren, Myles, Alexander and Maverick.
There will be a Funeral Mass held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday June 18th, 2024 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church (19099 E Floyd Ave, Aurora, CO 80013)
A Celebration Of Life & Reception will be held after services at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, with Police Honors and Flag presentation.
