Larry Rubin

“Laurence Francis Rubin died at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 21st. Larry was a husband, stepfather, grandfather, musician, scientist, friend and brother. He was of gentle character, keen intelligence, gifted and talented and most importantly, he was a courageous individual in the face of great adversity. He is survived by his wife, Junith, by two stepchildren, Michelle Murillo, Michael Murillo and his two grandchildren Sean Murillo and Reid Murillo. He is also survived by his two brothers, Fred Rubin, Richard Rubin and by his mother, Joy Rubin. Larry was employed by Lockheed Martin as Senior Research Scientist where he developed novel optical and laser systems and was a valued mentor to his colleagues. Larry was a musician at heart and over his lifetime mastered the violin, fiddle, saxophone, and clarinet as well as diving deep into complex compositions of jazz, bluegrass, and classical music. His talent and love of music will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, please commit a random act of kindness. Arrangements by
