Yvonne Faber sadly left us on May 26, 2024. She was born to Gertrude Yvonne Palacios Mendoza on June 25, 1977, in Nampa and grew up in Caldwell, Idaho. Yvonne attended school in the Caldwell School District, where she played basketball, participated in the marching band, and earned the Gold Award in Girl Scouts. She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1996.

Yvonne continued her education at Bakersfield Community College in California. While in California, she was a host mom to several exchange students. After some time, she decided to move back to Idaho to be closer to her mother. In Idaho, Yvonne worked as a substitute teacher, a paraprofessional, and once again as a host mother. She was also pursuing further education to become an interpreter.

Yvonne spent her days as a loving sister, a caring aunt, and a wonderful wife. She cherished memories of her fishing trips in the San Francisco Bay area, her visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida, and many family events. Her marriage to John Faber and caring for Kimberly Zaragoza were among her most treasured family memories.

Yvonne leaves behind her husband John Faber, her daughter Kimberly Zaragoza, and her siblings EJ Palacios, Larry Palacios, Viki Burke, Elizabeth Mendoza, Junior Mendoza, Barak Mendoza, and Magdalene Mendoza. She is preceded in death by her parents Gertrude and Concepcion Mendoza, her grandfather Ezekiel “Zeke” Palacios, and her baby Jacob Kyle.

A viewing for friends and family on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 am at Crosspoint Church of Caldwell.  Interment will follow at Kolherlawn Cemetery in Nampa.
