"Three Rivers - Joseph T. Zarenko, 89, of Overlook Dr. died on October 8, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center. Born June 9, 1925 in Hackensack, NJ, Joseph proudly served his country in the US Navy and US Air Force. He has lived in Palmer for over forty years, and retired from Turley Publications, where he worked as a press operator. In his leisure, Joseph enjoyed cards, dice and fixing things up. He was also a life member of AMVETS. In 2012, Joseph was predeceased by his wife Adella (Palka) and he is survived by his children, Bruce Zarenko and his wife Jessica of North Conway, NH, and Walter Zarenko and his wife Dana with whom he lived. He also leaves 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home with a funeral service on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. also in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. For those wishing, donations may be made to the DAV. For details, visit www.beersandstory.com. "
