"Belchertown, Marissa L. Jackson, 26, died unexpectedly on September 6 in Amherst. Born in Northampton, June 7, 1988, she was the daughter of Neil and Marcella (Caldwell) Jackson of Belchertown. Marissa grew up in Belchertown and was a graduate of Belchertown High School. She had a style all her own and was an original founder of LBGT in her high school. Marissa was an avid learner and was pursuing many interest from teaching to neuro-psych. She loved people and made friends wherever she went. Besides her parents, she will be deeply missed by her wife, Britney (Williams) Jackson, her grandmother Beverly Jackson, her siblings, Joshua, Jeremy, and Brooke Laplante, and Matt, Bo and Christopher Jackson, all of Belchertown, along with countless friends. Also the most loving aunt to her 11 nieces and nephews; Dillon, Roslyn, Paige, Cadence, Harper, Avery, Ronan, Nora, Melina, Noah, and Samuel. A service to remember her life will be Monday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St. Calling hours will precede the service from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. To honor her memory, donations may be made to NAMI: National Association on Mental Illness, 3803 N. Fairfax Dr., Suite 100, Arlington, VA 2203. "
