Edward Sapp

Edward Leon Sapp was born to Oscar Sapp and Willie Odessa Trim on July 13, 1938 in Crockett Texas. Edward, called Eddy by family and friends, graduated from Ralph J Bunche High School in Crockett Texas. He was an excellent student and received his highest scores in Math. Eddy was very athletic in which he played on the Football, Basketball and Baseball team. A knee injury prevented him from pursuing a College Athletic career. After is 18th Birthday, the summer of 1956, he joined the United States Air force. Eddy was married twice producing four children in which he loved dearly and was very proud of each one of them. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Eddy was a lifetime Fan of the Oakland Raiders and the Los Angeles Lakers. He retired after 20 years of service with the Air force. He worked for 10 years as a machinist with the United States Navy before retiring a second time. Eddy never met a stranger during his life’s journey and was affectionately called “Grandpa” by the kids. On Monday, November 10, 2008, the Lord called him home after a brief illness.
