Hector Gustavo Villarraga

Hector Gustavo Villarraga, 80, of Fairfax, Virginia, passed away on January 19, 2015. He was born to the late Jesus Villarraga and Rosario Ferro, Feb. 18, 1934, in Ibague, Colombia. He married the late Maria Teresa Ramon in 1959, and then Flor Alba Puerto in 1979, and lived together in Cali, Colombia, before relocating to Fairfax, VA in 2002. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de America, in Bogota, Colombia. Hector is survived by his wife Flor Alba, and his four children: Hector Ricardo and Adriana, of Rochester, MN; Marta Lucia and Eric, of Ardmore, PA; Andres Felipe and Debra, of Washington, D.C., and Carlos Eduardo and Lina Maria, of Fairfax, VA. He is also survived by his four grandchildren: Andrea, Nicolas, Sofia and Isabela. He will be remembered by his wonderful cooking, love for dancing, and for making everyone laugh. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:30 am at The Church of the Nativity (6400 Nativity Lane, Burke,VA). Nacido en Ibague, Colombia el 18 de Febrero, 1934 fue ingeniero mecánico de profesion. Su esposa Flor Alba Puerto de Villarraga sus hijos: Hector Ricardo y Adriana, Marta Lucia y Eric, Andres Felipe y Debra, y Carlos Eduardo y Lina Maria, y sus nietos: Andrea, Nicolas, Sofia e Isabela les agradecen sus mensajes de condolencia. Lo recordaremos siempre por su buen humor, sus ganas de vivir, su buena culinaria y su carisma. Una misa se celebrara en su memoria para honrar sus cenizas el 24 de enero, 2015 a las 10:30 am en la Church of the Nativity (6400 Nativity Lane, Burke,VA).
