"Belchertown, Audrey J. Kapinos, 78, formerly of Granby, died peacefully at home with her family by her side on April 16, 2017 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Holyoke on August 2, 1938 and was the daughter of Zephyr and Gertrude (Fitzgerald) Beloin. She grew up in the Willimansett section of Chicopee and moved to Granby after marrying her husband of the past 54 years, Stanley Kapinos. She has resided in Granby for most of her life, most recently moving to Belchertown. Audrey was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and sang in the choir. She worked as a clinic coordinator for the Commonwealth of MA for many years. Audrey enjoyed gardening and cultivating stargazer lilies, trips to Kennebunkport, ME and walks on Goose Rock Beach and most especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband and soul mate, Stanley and their two children, Linda Bessette of Granby, and, Laura Letendre of Buckland, MA, along with her cherished grandchildren, Charlotte, Jenna, Niccole, Albert III and Joseph. A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, April 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, family and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in west Cemetery. Calling hours are on Friday form 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. Donations in her memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at ww5.komen.org."
