On Thursday, June 13, 2019, Brian Black, of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away peacefully at the age of 69 years. Brian was born March 17, 1950, at the Columbia Hospital in Washington, D.C. Brian was the son of M. Alan Black and Edith Black. He was the first of three children. Brian lived a joyful life and his sweet and gentle nature was loved by all those he touched in his life. He loved to dance and won “Best Dance Performance” at a 2003 talent show. Brian was pre-deceased by his parents and is survived by his two siblings, Gary Black and his wife Sarah Turner of Oakton, Virginia and Bruce Black and his wife Betsyanne Black of Hillsboro, Virginia. Also surviving is Brian’s nephew, B. Duncan Black and his wife Danielle Black of Boonsboro, Maryland. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at the Advent Funeral Home, 7211 Lee Highway Falls Church 22046 on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Brian’s name to: Jill’s House, 9011 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182. Jill’s House is a Christian non-profit dedicated to providing support and respite to families raising children with intellectual disabilities. www.Jillshouse.org (the donate button is Give under Get Involved tab).
