Mary Benedette Pelletter-Holzheimer, of McLean, VA, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014. Mary was born in Buffalo, N.Y. at Millard Filmore Hospital to the late Anthony and Sarah Pelletter on November 25, 1950. She was a 1971 graduate of the University of Buffalo and later received a graduate certificate from George Washington University. Mary worked as a legal assistant at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver, and Jacobson for 30 years before retiring in 2009. She enjoyed travel, especially cruising. She was also an avid fan of musical theater. She was married to Terry Holzheimer on May 24, 1980 and is survived by her husband; their daughter, Francesca Hammerstrom; and her brother, Louis Pelletter. A Mass will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Luke Catholic Church at 7001 Georgetown Pike in McLean, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Mary’s name to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (www.ocrf.org).
