Garrett Schrader

We have lost our beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend, Garrett. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, thoughtfulness, gregariousness, athleticism, creativity and entrepreneur ventures. He died suddenly at home from a seizure. He was 24 years old. Garrett was born and raised in Coal Creek Canyon, Colorado to John and Kathy Schrader on March 30, 1987 and has entertained us nearly every day since. He attended Coal Creek Elementary; D’Evelyn Jr/Sr High School; Ralston Valley, Branson, and Nederland High Schools. Garrett also spent some time at Arizona State University auditing classes. Garrett loved and excelled at all sports. If it increased his heart rate he loved it. He had a passion for BMX biking, mountain biking, long boarding, rock climbing, kayaking and snow boarding. Garrett also had a passion for reading, drawing, and playing the guitar. His hobbies also included attending different high schools. Garrett was a man dedicated to helping others both in everyday life and work. As co-founder and owner of SPEaR Technolgies, Inc. Garret developed environmentally safe chemical extraction technologies for the medical and nutraceutical industries in the hopes of bringing healthier diet and nutrition options to those who couldn’t otherwise afford such cares. He is survived by his parents John and Kathy Schrader; his sisters Lauren and Alyson Schrader; grandmother Anna Schrader; aunts Carole (Carl) Maschka, Kris (Rick) Thompson, and Sue Schrader; numerous cousins, many close friends and his beloved three cats, Cat, Tard and Zilla. Dream big; kind actions; laugh hard were Garrett’s driving values. Garrett loved his family and friends passionately. The whole family was so proud of him! “I wrote your name in the sand, but the waves washed it away. I wrote your name in the sky, but the wind blew it away.
