Wallace E. Wenzel

"W.Springfield-Wallace E. Wenzel, 78, of Silver Springs, FL and W.Springfield, MA, passed away June 2, 2014 as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Florida. He was born August 21, 1935 on his family farm in Belchertown, son of Godfrey and Rose (Zitka) Wenzel. Wallace grew up in Belchertown and lived for 20 years in W.Warren. For the past number of years, Wallace and his wife Barbara wintered in Silver Springs, FL and summered in W.Springfield. In his younger years, he worked for HB Hood and IBA Products selling to farmers. He recently retired from his home improvement business as a contractor. Wallace was an avid square dancer and was part of many square dancing organizations in MA as well as FL. He enjoyed vacationing and traveling. Besides Barbara with whom he lived, Wallace will be greatly missed by his children, Marc and his wife Sandi of W.Brookfield, Kimberly Leger and her husband William of Leominster, Raymond and his wife Lori of W.Warren along with 8 grandchildren, his sister in law Deborah Wenzel of Belchertown and brother in law Edward Gay of Monson. He also leaves his first wife Dolores Wenzel. Wallace was predeceased by his daughter, Diane Kibbe, along with his siblings, Godfrey A. Wenzel, Joyce M. Wenzel Gay, and Frank Wenzel. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home with a funeral service on Monday at 10:00 a.m. also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Belchertown."
