"Hazel I. (Bisnette) Hubbard, 87, died August 21, 2006 at Sunbridge of Hadley. Born on July 14, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Bertha (Williamson) Bisnette. She was proud that she was raised and resided in Belchertown her entire life. Hazel worked for the Belchertown Senior Center for 17 years before retiring in 2001and was an active volunteer for their many projects, most especially the TRIAD program. She loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her interest included playing bingo and trips to Hampton Beach. She also enjoyed finding ways to help others. Hazel was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, Sr. in 1983 and her son Ralph, Jr. in 1999. She will be deeply missed by her daughter-in-law, Leah Hubbard of Warren, her two granddaughters, Cheryl Hubbard of Belchertown and Brenda Hubbard of Ware, her two great grandchildren, Bryanna and Courtney Cadieux and three step grandchildren, Diane Couture, Susan Morin and Donald Mantha, along with her step great-grandson Michael Boutin. She also leaves her 4 sisters, Eleanor Boudreau and her husband John of Palmer, Pauline Gaudette and her husband Wilfred of Ware, Gertrude Trudeau of Gilbertville and Eveline Banach of Palmer, her three brothers, Joseph and his wife Eunice of Palmer, Raymond of Thorndike and Clarence “Bub” and his wife Nancy of FL. She was also predeceased by her brother Walter and a sister Alice Smart. Funeral Services will be held from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home on Thursday August 24 at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in St. Anne’s Cemetery in Three Rivers. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Donations may be made in Hazel’s name to the Belchertown Senior Center, Belchertown, MA 01007. "
