December 12th, 1921 - August 21st, 2006
" Elaine A. (Adams) Tovet, 84, died on August 21, 2006 at UMASS Medical Center with her family by her side. Born in Holyoke, December 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Loretta (Legare) Adams. She lived in Springfield for a number of years before moving to Belchertown 27 years ago. Elaine was a faith driven woman and was communicant of St. Francis Church in Belchertown serving as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a 50 year member of the 3rd Order of Carmelites and the co-founder and coordinator of the Michael Sweeney prayer line. She will be deeply missed by her husband Everett of 64 years, her 9 daughters, Suzanne Bowling and her husband Jack of KY, Linda Agen of Cape Cod, Jeanne LaFrancis and her husband Stuart of NC, Mary McMaster and her husband Charles of Springfield, Anne Crum and her husband Michael of W. Springfield, Barbara Lavallee and her husband Gerald of Belchertown, Catherine Stevens and her husband Richard of E. Longmeadow and Lisa Mascaro and her husband Anthony of Springfield, Theresa Sullivan and her husband Eamonn of London, England, along with her 38 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Belchertown. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 p.m. from the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. (Rte 116) in South Hadley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaine’s memory to the St. Francis Church Building Fund, Park Street, Belchertown, MA 01007. "
