Nanci-Lynn Terry

Nanci-Lynn Terry, 40, of Marietta, GA, gained her wings suddenly and unexpectedly in her own home, on August 9th, 2021. Nanci was born on November 10th, 1980 to the late Albert Terry Jr, of Hamlet, North Carolina and the late Lynndy Meakin of Nottingham, England. She was born in Tunisia, Africa where her father was on assignment for the foreign service department. Nanci grew up traveling the world and experiencing many different cultures that all played a part in shaping who she was. Because of this wonderful, culturally enriching childhood, Nanci always had a love for traveling and exploring and going on adventures, right up until the end. Because of her father’s different assignments, Nanci attended a multitude of different international elementary, middle, and high schools. She graduated from the International School of Bangkok in 1998, and began to pursue a business degree from Howard University. Nanci has had many different jobs in her life. She was a dedicated and hardworking employee. She was passionate about what she did, and was a good friend to everyone who knew her. In 2003 Nanci had her daughter, Alanah Eaton, followed by her son, Noel Eaton in 2004. Her love for her children was profound. As a single mother, she fought hard to make sure her children had everything and anything that they needed, and took them on many fun adventures that will be fond memories to last them a lifetime. Nanci loved her family and friends dearly. She had a very close bond with her sister, Kristi, and they were always joking and teasing each other when they got together. She was a woman of many talents, honorable traits, and a glowing heart. She showed love, loyalty, and kindness to everyone every day. Her jokes, her laugh, her smile, her loyalty and her love will forever be missed and held within our hearts. Nanci was preceded in death by her mother Lynndy Meakin, and her father Prince Albert Terry Jr. Nanci leaves to cherish her memories: two children, Alanah Lynn Zakiya-Sania Eaton and Noel Albert Terry Eaton of Marietta, GA; one sister, Kristi-Lynn Terry Royster (Michael) of Chapel Hill, NC, and two nephews, Cameron and Aiden Royster of Chapel Hill, NC; a best friend who she considered a sister, Dee Dee of Wilmington, NC and her two sons, True Robinson and Triston Waller of Wilmington, NC; an adopted daughter Melanie Lopez of Austell, GA; and a host of family and friends.
