"Granby - Donald W. Puffer, 77, of Batcherlor St., passed away on April 30, 2014 at home. He was born May 28, 1936 in Cannonsville, NY, son of Predeceased Vernon Puffer and Edna (Roof) Waldron. Donald has lived in Granby for 60 years and was a member of the United Church of Christ. He retired, as a supervisor for Avery Dennison after working for 39 years. In his leisure, he enjoyed going to horse shows, the rodeo and watching old western T.V. shows. He was also an avid UCONN Girls Basketball fan. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan (Bergeron) Puffer and six children Anita Puffer, Wayne Puffer both of Granby, Donald Puffer Jr. of Dickinson Center, NY, Susan Wadas, Vicki McGurn both of Holyoke and Jeffery Puffer of W. Springfield. He will also be missed by the step-sons Thomas, Michael and David Peloquin, 31 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and three sisters. Geneve Mott, Vivian Granger and Marjorie Tiffany. He was predeceased by a brother James Waldron. A graveside Service will be held, Wednesday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m in the West Cemetery on West St in Granby. Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Joseph's Indian School 1301 North Main Street Chamberlian, SD 57326. "
