"SOUTH HADLEY - Natalie V. (Lamoureux) Griffin, 92, of South Hadley died peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2006 following a sudden three-day illness. Known as “Pat” to friends and “Nan” to family, she lived a long, happy, and healthy life, was the best Nan anyone could ever have, and will be deeply missed by the many who knew and loved her. Natalie was a graduate of Chicopee High School and lived much of her life in Holyoke until moving to South Hadley in 1969. She worked for more than 30 years for W.T. Grant’s Department Store in Holyoke where she was a Department Manger and Assistant Store Manager. In her retirement, she traveled every year to California and Florida to visit family, and was active in the South Hadley Council on Aging where she participated in weekly luncheons, line dancing, and other activities. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cribbage and gin rummy, going to church and a movie every Sunday, and doting on her grand and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband James Griffin of Holyoke, five siblings, and her daughter Patricia Ann Goulet of Moorpark, CA. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Normand Blanchard of South Hadley and Joan and Walter Simao of Ludlow, several nieces and nephews, five grandchildren, Jeffry Blanchard of Boston, Kevin Goulet of Waco, TX, Glenn Goulet of Newbury Park, CA, Daryl Goulet of Moorpark, CA, and Lisa Fletcher of Moorpark, CA, and twelve great-grandchildren. There will be no public calling hours. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 17, 2006 at St. Teresa’s Church in South Hadley followed by burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Belchertown. Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
