"Belchertown - Agnes R. Kowal, 94, of Tucker Lane passed away on August 9, 2010 after a long and full life. She was born July 13, 1916 in Holyoke, MA, daughter of Wasyl and Agnieszka Romanczyk. She has lived in Belchertown since 1994 and was an active member of St. Francis Church. Agnes retired from Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford after working for many years. She was devoted to her family, loved flowers, enjoyed cooking, and braided beautiful rugs. She was predeceased by her husband Peter J. Kowal in 2006. She is survived by three daughters Carol Anselment of Storrs, CT, Joan Soltys of Whidbey Island, WA and Bonnie Sullivan of North Plains, OR. She will also be missed by a sister Claire Sygiel of Ware, five grandchildren Sean Sullivan, John Soltys, Tara Hendrickson, Jessica Wollmar, Amy Raulerson and 13 great grandchildren. Family and friends may gather at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:15 a.m. to follow to St. Francis Church for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Church Mortgage and Expansion Fund, 10 Park St., Belchertown, MA 01007. "
