Kenneth Anders Gran
January 16th, 1942 - April 4th, 2014
"Kenneth Anders Gran, 72, of Monson, died on April 4, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born January 16, 1942 in Ludlow, MA, son of Robert and Susan (Thayer) Gran. Kenneth proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy in 1959. Over the years, Kenneth owned 2 monument companies and most recently he owned a granite company in Monson. He was a member of Ludlow Elks Lodge 2448, Springfield Masonic Lodge No. 217, and was a 25 year member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary. In addition to the many organizations that Kenneth belonged to, he also loved to be on his boat. He is survived by his children, Craig Kresco of Greenfield, Christian Pope Campbell of RI, Denise Gran Habiger of Wilbraham, and Kristin Gran Gravanis of Wilbraham along with his grandchildren, Daniel Gran, Corey Gran, Willliam Campbell, Cole Campbell, and Brandan Habiger. He also leaves his siblings, Barry Gran of CT, Karen Allen of AZ, Bruce Gran of CT, Beverly Litchfield of Wilbraham, and Karl Gran of Wilbraham, and his dear friend Diane Gunther Chatel and her family. Kenneth was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Gran Gagner. Services will be held at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12th at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m.on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association . For details, www.beersandstory.com."
