Patricia Severson

Patricia Ann (Prangley) Severson, a lifetime resident of Colorado, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, November 15th, 2013 while in Palliative Care at North Star Respite Care facility where Patricia (Pat) was a resident. Pat was born in Colorado Springs, CO on March 17, 1937 to Roy & Clara Prangley (now deceased). In Colorado she is survived by her brother Robert (Bob), and her sister Lynn Cool along with their families. Patricia lived in Hawaii with her first husband Dale Halfmann, where he served with the U.S. Navy. Pat and her second husband, Bill Roberts lived in East Denver when they were involved together in a printing business and other enterprises until his death. At that time their adopted daughter, Rikki Ann chose to live with friends and family until her own daughter, Heather Dawn was born. Later when Rikki met and married her dream husband, Dan King, they moved to Arizona where they operated their own business together with their children. Pat joined John Severson in marriage and mountain life when together they purchased and remodeled a home in Harris Park, CO until they divorced. John constructed a section of their home to an art-studio where Pat could pursue her talents in various art forms. Twelve years ago Patricia was hospitalized from the results of a series of strokes and the loss of physical and mental capabilities. However, she retained her sense of humor and her regard for her care-givers, always with a smile on her face. Her family records on display today show her radiant smile and her natural beauty that friends from the 50’s still remember. Some of the photos on display support that claim.
